Who Are We Hiring?

The Elevator Operator is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests to Madison Square Garden while maintaining the integrity of all levels serviced by the assigned elevator.

What Will You Do?
  • Greet and welcome guests to Madison Square Garden while maintaining the integrity of all levels serviced by the assigned elevator.
  • Assist high-profile guests and patrons when entering and exiting the elevator.
  • Assist guests and patrons with disabilities.
  • Prioritize guest pickups with/without direction from supervisor.
  • Informatively answer guests' questions concerning Madison Square Garden amenities and operations.
  • Monitor radio communication and rapidly respond to any emergencies.
  • Ensure only staff or guests with proper credentials gain access to restricted levels.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
  • Articulate with excellent hospitality, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally as a team player in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems, demonstrate conflict resolution skills, and handle customer situations in a highly sensitive, heightened, and urgent environment.
  • Prior arena/theatre and elevator operating experience preferred.
  • Must be a member or join 32BJ SEIU.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain certification in T.E.A.M. alcohol management.
  • This position is part-time and is scheduled based on events.
Special Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable working in a confined space for an extended duration of time.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
