Job description

Heavy Duty Mechanic - Commercial Transport Technician

IRON 5 Equipment & Repair Ltd - Nisku, AB - is a growing independent repair shop based in Nisku, Alberta. We specialize in commercial fleet maintenance and repair, including heavy trucks, trailers, light fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment.

We are looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, strong diagnostics, and being part of a solid team environment.

As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add another skilled technician to help support our expanding customer base and maintain the service standards our customers expect.

What We're Looking For

Experience in the following areas is considered an asset:

  • Heavy truck & trailer repair
  • Commercial fleet maintenance
  • Light fleet vehicle repair
  • Heavy equipment repair & maintenance
  • Electrical diagnostics & troubleshooting
  • Engine diagnostics & repair
  • Preventive maintenance inspections
  • Suspension, brake, steering, and drivetrain systems
Preferred Qualifications

The following certifications and experience would be considered strong assets:

  • Journeyman Truck & Transport Technician or Heavy Equipment Technician
  • CVIP License
  • Out of Province (OOP) Inspection Certification
  • Wheel Alignment Experience
  • Class 1 or 3 Driver's License (Class 5 accepted)
  • Strong electrical diagnostic abilities
  • Engine diagnostic and repair background
Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Must currently reside in Canada
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
