Job description

Job Summary:
The Computer Vision Engineer will lead the end-to-end development of AI models and production-ready solutions for sustainability claim verification. The role combines computer vision, YOLO-based logo detection, multilingual text analysis, and multimodal LLM workflows using GPT-4o or similar APIs to verify sustainability claims against compliance references. The engineer will own the ML lifecycle from problem definition and data strategy through model development, evaluation, deployment, and integration into business workflows, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, documentation, traceability, and compliance-sensitive AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Lead end-to-end development of AI models for sustainability claim verification, from problem definition and data strategy through deployment.
β€’ Build and train YOLO-based object detection models to identify relevant logos and visual markers on product labels.
β€’ Define labeling strategies and iterate on data quality to improve computer vision model performance.
β€’ Develop and implement LLM-based verification workflows using GPT-4o APIs for text and multimodal image analysis.
β€’ Build multimodal AI solutions combining image and text analysis to assess sustainability claims against compliance references.
β€’ Define and refine claim verification logic and model evaluation methodologies.
β€’ Work with artwork and label images, sustainability claims, multilingual text, regulatory compliance data, and historical claim records.
β€’ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define what qualifies as a verifiable claim and establish required evidence.
β€’ Evaluate model performance using metrics including false positives, false negatives, and edge-case handling.
β€’ Deliver production-ready AI pipelines and support integration into business workflows, including dashboards and other tools.
β€’ Document model methodology, testing results, evaluation outcomes, and deployment recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
β€’ Senior-level experience delivering end-to-end ML systems, including problem definition, data strategy, model development, evaluation, and deployment.
β€’ Strong computer vision expertise with hands-on experience developing object detection models.
β€’ Required experience with YOLO-based object detection.
β€’ Hands-on experience using LLMs through APIs, such as GPT-4o or similar, in production or near-production environments.
β€’ Experience developing multimodal AI solutions involving image and text analysis.
β€’ Proven experience working with multilingual text data.
β€’ Experience building AI solutions in compliance-sensitive environments requiring accuracy, documentation, and traceability.
β€’ Strong understanding of model evaluation metrics, including false positives, false negatives, and edge-case handling.
Preferred Qualifications:
β€’ Experience with sustainability, regulatory, labeling, or compliance data.
β€’ Experience with logo detection or taxonomy development.
β€’ Experience building AI-driven dashboards or applications.
β€’ Familiarity with GPU-based model training environments.
β€’ Experience working with consumer product, retail, or packaging data.
