Job description

ABOUT LCI

The mission of LCI is to provide meaningful employment for the blind and visually impaired. We accomplish this in four ways:

  • EMPLOY: We are one of the largest employers of people who are blind, creating meaningful careers and lasting skills that transform their lives.
  • BUILD: We create over 2,000 products and distribute thousands more through manufacturing, retail, nationwide distribution, and e-commerce channels.
  • SERVE: Many of our products are sold directly to the federal government. We were pioneers of “base supply centers,” stores on military bases that employ the blind and visually impaired and provide mission-critical supplies to our nation’s military.
  • SUPPORT: We want to end blindness forever. To that end, we engage in philanthropic efforts for research into blindness and treatment for the visually impaired.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Developer, D365 and Adobe Commerce will be hands-on Web Developer to support two concurrent enterprise initiatives: our Adobe Commerce (Magento) eCommerce platform (BuyLCI.com and affiliated storefronts) and our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) ERP integration landscape. This role will develop, troubleshoot, and maintain integrations between the eCommerce platform and the ERP system, resolve production defects, and contribute to ongoing platform stabilization, feature releases, and the AX-to-D365 migration effort. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full stack — from Adobe Commerce/Magento PHP development to D365 F&O integration points (APIs, data entities, X++)  and can operate effectively in a fast-paced, defect-driven, multi-stakeholder environment.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

Durham, NC- fully onsite

Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Adobe Commerce (Magento 2.4.x) modules, themes, and storefront functionality across multiple sites (B2B and B2C).
  • Build and support integrations between Adobe Commerce and Dynamics 365 F&O (and/or legacy AX 2012 R3) covering order sync, inventory/stock, pricing, customer, and payment data flows.
  • Diagnose and resolve production defects (order sync failures, checkout issues, PDP/PLP bugs, punchout/cXML integration issues, payment gateway issues) tracked via Jira.
  • Support CyberSource payment integration work, including tokenization and API-based checkout flows.
  • Participate in release cycles: development, code review, QA handoff, staging validation, and production deployment.
  • Collaborate with the Adobe Commerce implementation partner and D365 implementation partner on joint defect resolution and design.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation (technical design documents, root cause analyses, release notes).
  • Ensure platform changes meet accessibility (JAWS/WCAG) and security compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to data readiness and integration testing for the ongoing AX 2012 R3 to D365 F&O migration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 development experience (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Knockout.js/LESS, Magento module architecture).
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O and/or Dynamics AX 2012, including data entities, OData/REST APIs, or X++.
  • Experience building or supporting middleware/API integrations between an eCommerce platform and an ERP system.
  • Solid understanding of eCommerce order-to-cash flow: cart, checkout, payment processing, order management, and fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML data structures, and integration debugging.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and Agile/Jira-based development workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on production-impacting defects.
  • Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with payment gateway integrations (e.g., CyberSource Flex API).
  • Experience with cXML/Punchout B2B integrations.
  • Experience supporting government or B2B/GSA eCommerce sites.
  • Familiarity with WCAG/JAWS accessibility standards.
  • Prior experience in an ERP migration project (AX-to-D365 or similar).

Why LCI?

  • Purpose-driven company driven by principles, not profit
  • Reach your highest potential: upward mobility, rewarded through hard work
  • Competitive salary and compensation
  • Basic Life Insurance at no cost to the employee
  • 401(k) with match and Surplus-Sharing Plans
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Ten paid holidays annually
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • On-site Health and Wellness program
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
