Job description

Field Based Nurse Case Manager - RN
OHARA, LLC has an opening for a full-time Field Based Nurse Case Manager in the Iowa City, IA area.
We are driven to facilitate prompt delivery of quality, cost-effective health care to injured workers and coordinate a plan for the earliest opportunity for a safe return to work. As a Field Based Nurse Case Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating case management services to assist injured workers in reaching pre-injury status and/or maximum medical improvement by attending appointments with injured workers and providers. You will work closely with injured workers, employer representatives, insurance company claims adjusters, and medical providers. In addition to fieldwork, you will assist by performing telephonic case management as well.
This is a work-from-home position, but successful applicants must reside in the Iowa City, IA area. Regional travel will be required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a current RN license
  • Associate degree and 2 years of clinical practice experience is required
  • Previous experience with occupational medicine, orthopedic or neurology is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) designation or applicable certification is preferred; willingness to obtain CCM designation within 3 years of employment is required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to be on call approximately 3 weeks out of the year
