Job Description Summary
Raymond James Bank is hiring a new team of Internal Banking Consultants, in partnership with our Nation-wide Banking Consultants, responsible for Private Client Banking (PCB) sales and growth objectives, and service performance in assigned territory from Raymond James Bank Home Office.
Our ideal sales consultant will:
• Build Private Client Banking (PCB) product awareness and understanding among Financial Advisors and Sales Assistants.
• Lead marketing, training or education efforts of FAs and SAs in assigned territory (e.g. general product, campaigns, initiatives, technology enhancements, etc.).
• Work in partnership with all internal support groups to ensure consistent and high quality service.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Banking Consultant (BC) and Financial Advisor (FA) to provide sound financial advice, training and education regarding private client banking products.
  • Act as back up to BCs and assist PCB partners in scheduling meetings or calls (e.g. face to face visits, load balancing).
  • Proactively prepare and follow-up with FAs/SAs in relation to BC branch visits. Create client proposals.
  • Build relationships and position as a key member of an FA's and branch management's team.
  • Consistently conduct/complete branch and FA profiles, FA book reviews, and call reports.
  • In conjunction with Banking Consultant, conduct regular team meetings with Cash, SBL and Mortgage Consultant(s) (internal) to discuss opportunities and pipeline.
  • Establish a reputation of execution and excellence. Partner with the BC to gain confidence of FAs to fully develop the banking solutions provided to their clients.
  • Offer direct or indirect solutions for FA and/or Branch inquiries regarding private client banking products and services.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and develop strategies to provide solutions to FAs and clients.
  • Create and monitor tasks in Client Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Work with and communicate effectively with BC, FAs, regional management, product partners, Branch Managers and staff.
  • Assist in developing tactical plans and completing special projects as needed.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of:
  • Principles, practices, concepts and procedures of securities based lending, mortgages, cash management, banking and financial markets and products.
  • Established organizational policies, strategies and procedures for PCB product offering.
  • Proven new business development/origination experience with PCB products.
  • Principles and methods for promoting and educating on securities based lending, margin, mortgages, high net worth structured lending products.
  • Credit products including residential mortgage products, securities based loans, margin, and high net worth structured lending products.
  • Cash products including cash management accounts, cash sweep offerings and credit card offerings.

Skill in:
  • Using appropriate interpersonal styles to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels. Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Recognizing and understanding the financial needs of all types of clients.
  • Interacting with BC, Financial Advisors, associates and clients.
  • Providing a high level of client service in the spirit of Raymond James' Service 1st commitment.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Analyzing financial, collateral, trust or business documentation to determine suitability.
  • Business development and marketing in order to consistently achieve top revenue results.
  • Detail orientation with strong organizational, sales and analytical skills.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and comfort working in a fast paced environment.

  • Build strong and productive relationships with BC, Cash/SBL/Mortgage Consultants, FAs, branch managers, clients, product specialists and matrix partners.
  • Understand the financial needs of the retail brokerage clientele.

  • Demonstrate positive initiative, leadership and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Train FAs/SAs on product suite.
  • Meet deadlines while managing BC, FA and client expectations.
