What is a home based appointment setter?

Home based appointment setters are professionals who work remotely to contact potential clients, qualify leads, and schedule appointments for sales representatives or businesses. They typically use phone calls, emails, or online messaging to reach out to prospects and arrange meetings. This role requires strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently from home. Appointment setters are often a crucial part of sales teams, helping to streamline the sales process and increase business opportunities.

How does a home based appointment setter typically collaborate with sales teams to ensure successful lead follow-up?

As a Home Based Appointment Setter, you'll work closely with sales representatives by scheduling qualified appointments, sharing detailed notes on each prospect, and communicating regularly about lead status. Collaboration often happens through CRM platforms, emails, or virtual meetings, ensuring that sales teams are well-informed about each lead’s interests and concerns. Effective communication and timely updates are key to maximizing conversion rates and fostering a smooth handoff between appointment setting and sales. This teamwork-focused environment helps maintain a steady sales pipeline and supports overall team targets.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a home based appointment setter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Home Based Appointment Setter, you need strong communication skills, persuasive abilities, and familiarity with CRM systems, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with telemarketing software, scheduling tools, and customer databases is commonly required. Outstanding time management, resilience, and active listening set high performers apart in this role. These skills are vital for efficiently generating leads, booking appointments, and contributing to the overall sales pipeline from a remote environment.

What is the difference between Home Based Appointment Setter vs Telemarketer?

As a Non-Medical Caregiver/Personal Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors, one person at a time. Our caregivers provide compassionate support that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Some clients are looking for companionship, help with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, or someone to enjoy conversation and activities with. Others may need assistance with mobility, personal care routines, medication reminders, and daily tasks to support their quality of life. This is a non-medical role focused on companionship, safety, and helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life at home.

Why Us?

  • Help at Home Senior Care respects Caregivers and the work they do! We’ve been Caregivers and know what it takes. We have been providing in-home care for over 20 years. Help at Home has been awarded the honor of being voted Best Place to Work for the last 7 years and Best in Home Care for 12 years.
  • Flexibility – You only commit to the shifts that make sense in your schedule. Whether you need mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, or weekends; we have schedules that fit your life.
  • Competitive Compensation – Our Caregivers start at an impressive $19- $21 per hour based on your Hands-on Skill and Dementia Competence assessments. On top of that we will boost your earnings by an extra $1.50 ($20.50- $22.50 per hour) within the first 6 months, when you participate in our Specialized Certifications Education Program!
  • We’ll pay to get you started – Let us take care of all the expenses required for a career in Caregiving: your State Registry costs, including NABS fingerprinting TB tests, CPR/First Aid Certification and Physical. We've got you covered!
  • Benefits Galore! We have a generous PTO plan that allows you to cash in on your Paid Time Off whenever you’d like -no doctor’s note or other hoops to jump through! We also have our unique Caribou Reward System which sets Caregivers up to receive bonuses for doing a great job. Whether we hear about the great job you are doing for your client, you refer a new caregiver or client, get recognized as Caregiver of the Month, or take a last minute shift; we want to say thank you where it counts -with more money on your paycheck!
  • Growth Opportunities - Elevate your Caregiving career with opportunities for professional development and advancement, supported by our caring office team. Our experienced Staffing Supervisors are here to support you every step of the way! Our Specialized Certifications Education Program equips you to understand and care for clients with Dementia, Parkinson’s, Diabetes, and many other health concerns. You will be PAID for taking the classes, which you can take any time of day, but you will also receive a raise in pay with the completion of each certification! We also offer raises for longevity, Dementia Competence, and our Caregiver Lead positions. Our Caregivers can now earn up to $25 per hour!
  • Secure Your Future - We prioritize your well-being with a Retirement Savings Plan, ensuring your future is as bright as the smiles you bring to our clients' faces!
  • Weekly Pay – We know you need your paycheck as soon and as often as possible! You are paid the week following the week you work- every week! Direct deposit pays you even quicker.

Responsibilities:
