Job description

In this role, you will install and maintain home automation systems that include audio/video, lighting control, home theater, motorized shades, surveillance, and more. Your daily responsibilities will include working with the HavenSmart  team to deliver and install high end systems in luxury homes. The ideal candidate is team player, friendly, reliable, and has an excellent understanding of home technology with the desire to learn more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install control systems with advanced lighting, macros, multi-room audio/video
  • Install and mount TVs and Displays
  • Install advanced mounting systems such as a mantle mount or motorized projector lift
  • Balance speaker levels in receiver settings
  • Calibrate color levels on TVs and projectors
  • Build and organize a rack, wire manage a new or existing rack
  • Install and configure network and Wi-Fi systems
  • Install and configure surveillance NVR recorder systems
  • Set up remote access for customer viewing of camera systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on a customer's audio/video system
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Accurately and efficiently complete job documentation
  • Maintain inventory and cleanliness of work vehicles
  • Loading and unloading
  • Structured cabling installation\termination and testing, in new constructions and remodel or existing structure
  • Familiar with Qolsys and Honeywell Alarm Systems

Must be dependable 
Intermediate knowledge of structured wiring and home construction
Strong communication skills
Time Management
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and 75+ pounds occasionally
Demonstrated experience with various hand tools, power tools and testing equipment
Ability to read floor plans and basic schematics
Be comfortable working from a ladder or high places
Ability to do basic troubleshooting.
Very strong attention to details
Minimum of 1 year's experience with low voltage systems; 2 years desired 
Control4 Associate Installer working towards C4 programmer/Lutron Ra3-desired
