Job description

Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob Description

This role supports a busy warehouse environment by performing a mix of picking, packing, material handling, and equipment operation. You will work around active forklift traffic, handle various materials including wire and spools, and use hand and power tools to prepare orders accurately and safely. The position requires comfort working at heights up to 40 feet, using RF scanners, and lifting materials throughout the shift.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately pick products based on order tickets using RF scanners or printed pick lists.
  • Pack orders securely to ensure safe transport and delivery, using appropriate packing materials and methods.
  • Verify order accuracy and inspect items for quality before shipment, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
  • Prepare shipments by labeling, staging, and wrapping pallets as needed for outbound delivery.
  • Operate stand-up forklifts, order pickers, and other powered industrial equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Safely retrieve and store materials at heights of up to 40 feet, following all safety procedures and using appropriate equipment.
  • Transport products and materials throughout the warehouse efficiently while maintaining awareness of pedestrian and forklift traffic.
  • Support inbound operations by receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming shipments in designated locations.
  • Support outbound operations by staging and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring deadlines and shipping schedules are met.
  • Work in packing modules with a focus on detailed order assembly and packaging accuracy.
  • Assist in the wiring department by handling heavier materials and supporting specialized product preparation tasks.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as inventory handling, basic material cutting, and use of hand and power tools as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience operating stand-up forklifts.
  • Ability to work comfortably at heights up to approximately 40 feet.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more repeatedly during the shift.
  • Experience with picking and packing in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for order picking, inventory, and verification.
  • Experience with general material handling and inventory support.
  • Capability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced warehouse.

Work Environment

The role is physically active, requiring standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights, in a warehouse setting designed to support efficient material flow and collaborative teamwork.
