Job description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead our facility maintenance operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and functionality of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and proven experience managing maintenance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As a key member of our operations team, the Chief Engineer ensures all building systems operate efficiently, complies with safety standards, and meets brand expectations.Compensation:

$17 - $19 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison with brand partners to ensure compliance with evolving brand standards.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate building systems to determine necessary maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Assist in budget planning, including estimating costs for repairs and capital improvement projects.

Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, including hiring, training, and performance oversight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance software systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, including team leadership.
