Job description

The New Jersey Titans currently have an internship opportunity for an Assistant Equipment Manager for the upcoming 2025-2026 NAHL season. This is a chance to join one of the most established equipment and training teams in the North American Hockey League.
OVERVIEW:
The New Jersey Titans are looking for an Assistant Equipment Manager intern that will gain valuable experience in the day-to-day operations/management of the equipment operations department. This position reports directly to the Head Equipment Manager. As an intern, you will learn all about the operations and logistics that are needed to support players, coaches, and staff for a junior hockey organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES
  • Assist in the daily operation/functions of the dressing room and equipment room.
  • Assist in distribution, storage, security, and accountability of all athletic materials.
  • Assist in laundering of uniforms, practice gear, towels, and other materials used daily.
  • Assist in locker room breakdown for home/away teams.
  • Assist with team practice and games.
  • Assist in packing for team travel.
  • Assist with practice and gameday setup.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by the Head Equipment Manager, General Manager or Assistant General Manager and coaching staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

OTHER DETAILS:
  • Availability during non-traditional office hours in non-traditional settings, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Majority of games will be played on Friday and Saturday nights with the occasional weekday game.
  • Duration of internship depends on the applicant's ability during the academic year.
  • Typically, interns do not travel for away games.
  • Work attire is provided for practice and game days.
  • The main location for this internship will be the Middletown Sports Complex in MIDDLETOWN, NJ.
