Job Description:

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to support application development and modernization efforts for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under the T4NG2 contract vehicle. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end software solutions, including both front-end user interfaces and back-end services.
The ideal candidate has experience building scalable, secure, and user-centric applications in Agile environments, with a strong understanding of modern web technologies, APIs, and cloud-based architectures. This role is critical to delivering high-quality digital services that enhance the Veteran experience.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust or higher-level clearance.
  • This position is primarily remote; however, must be able to come on-site in Washington, DC, as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Certifications, such as AWS Developer, Microsoft Certified Developer, etc. are preferred
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3)
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Strong back-end development experience (Node.js, Java, .NET, or similar)
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and application security
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting VA or federal IT programs
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT systems or interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (aligned with VA EDGE/OMEGA initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications (front-end and back-end)
