Job description

Description:

About Spy Ninjas Entertainment

Spy Ninjas, the longest-running scripted series in YouTube history, and the brainchild of YouTube creators Chad Wild Clay & Vy Qwaint. The stories surrounding this inspirational group of everyday heroes have earned over 18 billion views and 47 million subscribers. Spy Ninjas are unique within the YouTube space, as we create multiple 20–30 minute serialized episodes, every week.

Role Overview

Spy Ninjas is looking for a Creative Lead to help drive the storytelling behind the newest Spy Ninjas channel, the Spy Ninjas Crew. Working alongside the Creative Director, you’ll be responsible for turning creative vision into actual episodes. You’ll lead ideation, develop storylines, shape character arcs, and guide a team of Junior Creatives as they bring ideas to life through writing, filming, editing, and packaging.

This role sits at the center of the creative process. You’ll help determine what stories we tell, how we tell them, and how we continuously raise the quality of our content.

The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, creative producer, and mentor. Someone who can take a broad creative goal, generate dozens of potential ideas, identify the strongest opportunities, and help a team execute them at a high level.

We are located in Las Vegas, NV and you will be required to live here or relocate for this opportunity. You will be filming and producing videos around the Vegas area including our brand new 55,000 square foot space, Spy Ninjas HQ (https://spyninjashq.com).

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the ideation process across the Spy Ninjas content slate—developing episode concepts, challenges, storylines, character moments, and larger narrative arcs.
  • Partner closely with the Creative Director to translate creative strategy into actionable content plans.
  • Guide brainstorming sessions and help build a consistent pipeline of fresh, audience-focused ideas.
  • Refine, strengthen, and pressure-test concepts before they move into production.
  • Own story development across multiple episodes, ensuring narratives remain engaging, cohesive, and true to the Spy Ninjas brand.
  • Mentor Junior Creatives as they develop concepts, write stories, plan productions, and execute content.
  • Collaborate with production and post-production teams to ensure stories are successfully realized on screen.
  • Help solve creative challenges during development, production, and editing.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Spy Ninjas lore, audience preferences, YouTube trends, and evolving platform best practices.
  • Continuously identify new formats, recurring segments, storytelling devices, and creative opportunities that help grow the franchise.
Requirements:

Experience You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience developing story-driven content for YouTube, television, film, or digital media.
  • Strong experience generating, developing, and executing narrative content from concept through final delivery. You’re a storyteller who understands audience psychology, pacing, character development, and what keeps viewers engaged.
  • Collaborative Leader with a track record helping others develop ideas and produce their best work. Extensive experience working cross-functionally with writers, producers, editors, and creative teams.
  • Strong editorial instincts and the ability to quickly identify both creative opportunities and narrative weaknesses. Can confidently guide projects through ambiguity to achieve the desired result.
  • No specific educational background required—but a portfolio of work that demonstrates exceptional creative thinking and execution is essential.
What Success Looks Like
  • The creative team consistently delivers high-quality, shoot-ready concepts.
  • Viewer retention, engagement, and shareability improve.
  • Content quality becomes more consistent, more original

Benefits

  • Health Insurance: Medical, Vision, Dental
  • 401(k) matching
  • Paid time off
  • Relocation Assistance
