Salary: 60k-68k
Schedule: 7am-3pm M-F (includes holidays)
Job Summary:
The Security Operations Center Specialist is responsible for the daily operation of all physical security efforts, monitoring and responding appropriately to security systems and technology, and communicating effectively with internal customers and colleagues. This position will work closely with Brink's Operations and Branch leaders to proactively address security gaps/issues related to interdepartmental logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to a variety of alarm signals. Response must be timely and accurate, with particular attention given to general procedures and special instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers. Follow all departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Complete required equipment checks, daily logs, and regular system audits.
  • Answer multiple telephone lines. Respond to each caller in a professional and helpful manner while gathering information, troubleshooting, transferring calls, or providing instructions, and conduct follow-up calls to guarantee expectations are met.
  • Provide technical support as needed. Follow procedures for service and inspection requests. Communicate and analyze inquiries and determine a correct course of action.
  • Maintain facility security and operations by following company policies and procedures to provide a safe and productive environment.
  • Assist other departments and associates with special projects to support a teamwork atmosphere for the benefit of our customers and the company.
  • Participate in job related training programs and meetings to continually refresh and update knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security setting
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 software.
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • A valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements
  • 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with a wide range of hours including, but not limited to, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with internal Brink's proprietary/commercial business software packages i.e. BITS, Garcia etc.
  • Knowledge of tactical security operations
  • Knowledge of the logistics industry; its operations, products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting Standard Operating Procedures and/or Standards of Work documentation.
