Hispanic Federation (HF) seeks an Immigration Initiatives Program Coordinator to support the coordination and implementation of HFโ€™s immigration programs that assist community members with accessing essential programs, services, and resources. The Coordinatorย aids with community outreach efforts, data collection and reporting, and overall administrative support for the day-to-day operations of program activities and related tasks. This role works closely with internal departments, community-based partners, and program participants to ensure programs run smoothly, meet objectives, and align with programmatic goals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable with experience working with administrative processes and protocols, event planning, and a commitment to social justice.
The position operates under a hybrid model with days in-office and remote. The coordinator will also be required to work outside of the office for events and programs, as requested.

Job Responsibilities
Provide administrative, event planning, and outreach support by carrying out the following responsibilities:ย 
Assist with coordination of immigration community empowerment programs and events, and special initiatives, including scheduling, logistics, and management of participant and partner communication.ย Support theย preparation,ย review,ย andย trackingย of grant applications, reports, and related documentation.ย Support the review of organizational fiscal reportsย for reimbursement grants, ensuring expenditures align with approved budgets and actual expenses.ย ย Trackย partner and participant engagement, manage contact lists,ย and data entryย forย reporting andย evaluation.ย Manage scholarship applications and maintain accurate documentationย to process and submitย scholarship payment requests in a timely manner.ย Manage routine financial tasks, including preparing andย submittingย check requests, credit cardย requests, and other documentation related to program activities.ย Track financial transactions to ensureย timelyย processing and program compliance.ย Represent HF at outreach community events and recruit participants for immigration program events.ย Assist in cultivating new community partners that serve the immigrant community.ย 
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelorโ€™s degreeย required,ย in Public Administration, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, orย a relatedย field.ย At leastย two (2)ย years of related experienceย working with a nonprofit supporting community outreach and events.ย Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams),ย along with other programs and operating systemsย required.ย Mustย possessย strong organizational skills andย an exceptionalย attention to detail.ย Excellent communication skills with strong research and writingย experienceย isย required.ย Proficiencyย in written and spoken Spanishย isย required;ย additionalย languagesย spoken is an asset.ย Experienceย withย community engagementย andย direct outreach with the people of diverse backgrounds along with an understanding of New York City's diversityย isย an asset.ย Excellent interpersonal skills, includingย abilityย to work collaborativelyย and respectfullyย with staff at all levels and with diverseย communities.ย Experience with contract management and file/dataย managementย a plus.ย Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.ย Exposure to managing budgets and financial trackingย process.ย Experience inย presentingย and withย public speaking isย required.ย Demonstrated commitment to advancing the Hispanic Federationโ€™s values, mission, and goals.ย 
Compensation andย Benefits:
Position salary starting at $45,000 -$50,000 and salary is and is commensurate with experience. Compensation comes with a robust benefits package with a fully paid medical, dental, vision insurance upon start, 403(B) retirement plans with a company match after 6 months, and access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits.
First year employees of the Hispanic Federation receive a PTO package with 15 days designated for vacation, 4 Personal Days, and 8 Sick Days annually.
