Are you the engineer people rely on when equipment isn't performing, production needs improvement, or a manufacturing challenge needs a solution?

A.R. Mazzotta is partnering with a growing manufacturer in the Shelton area to hire a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys improving production equipment, supporting automation, solving complex manufacturing challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Leadership to improve equipment reliability, optimize manufacturing processes, and support automation and capital improvement projects. Every improvement you make—whether it's equipment reliability, process efficiency, automation, or preventive maintenance—will have a direct impact on production performance.

In This Role You'll
  • Ensure production equipment and manufacturing lines are prepared for daily operations
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, production processes, and PLC-controlled systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, quality, and efficiency
  • Support machine upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital improvement projects
  • Review and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, production support activities, shutdowns, and large-scale projects
  • Help guide the daily priorities of the maintenance and equipment setup team
  • Develop training plans that promote safe, efficient, and reliable operations
  • Maintain engineering drawings, schematics, maintenance records, and technical documentation
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong CAD experience
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, controls, and manufacturing automation
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
