Introduction to the Job
At ASML, our technology helps make the world's most advanced microchips possible. Behind that technology are the facilities, utilities, and infrastructure that keep high-tech manufacturing running safely and reliably.
As Senior Manager, Technical Services, Engineering and Competence, you will lead the technical service strategy for ASML's Wilton, Connecticut site. You will help strengthen the reliability, resilience, and long-term performance of production-critical facilities and building systems. This role is a senior leadership position focused on governance, technical direction, and operational excellence.
Role and Responsibilities
In this Senior Manager, Technical Services, Engineering and Competence role, you will lead teams and partners who support critical infrastructure, maintenance, asset lifecycle planning, and technical standards. You will help connect manufacturing needs with practical, data-informed decisions that protect uptime and support business growth.
You will:
  • Lead the reliability and resilience of critical facilities, utilities, and technical infrastructure.
  • Develop maintenance and asset lifecycle strategies that support manufacturing uptime and cost effectiveness.
  • Guide technical teams in solving recurring infrastructure challenges and improving engineering standards.
  • Align technical service priorities with manufacturing, safety, security, project, and business needs.
  • Lead risk mitigation and business continuity planning for critical building assets and systems.
  • Support long-term capacity planning for utilities, infrastructure, and production support areas.
  • Drive supplier performance, contract governance, and continuous improvement with service partners.

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering, technical business administration, asset management, or a related technical field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in critical facilities, technical infrastructure, maintenance, or asset management.

  • Strong knowledge of utilities, building systems, technical assets, and production-critical infrastructure.
  • Experience leading technical teams, developing capability, and managing supplier performance.
  • Proven experience with maintenance strategy, reliability improvement, lifecycle planning, business continuity, and operational risk management.
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements, applicable regulations, engineering standards, and quality expectations.
  • Experience using asset data, performance indicators, reporting tools, or maintenance systems to guide decisions.

Skills
Working at the cutting edge of tech, you'll always have new challenges and new problems to solve - and working together is the only way to do that. You won't work in a silo. To thrive in this job, you'll need the following skills:
  • Lead with clarity, accountability, and a strong focus on team development.
  • Translate complex infrastructure issues into practical improvement plans.
  • Balance uptime, risk, cost, quality, and long-term asset performance.
  • Influence senior stakeholders with clear recommendations and sound judgment.
  • Use data and operational insights to support evidence-based decisions.
  • Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay calm and structured when solving complex, high-pressure problems.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers.

Additional Responsibilities:
