How does a HIPAA Program Manager typically collaborate with other departments to ensure ongoing compliance?

A HIPAA Program Manager works closely with departments such as IT, Legal, Human Resources, and Clinical Operations to ensure that privacy and security protocols are integrated into daily workflows. This collaboration often involves conducting risk assessments, providing training sessions, and developing policies that align with HIPAA regulations. The Program Manager also facilitates regular meetings with stakeholders to address compliance concerns, share updates on regulatory changes, and coordinate incident response. Building strong relationships across teams is essential to proactively identify and mitigate potential privacy risks.
