Program Dates: August 18, 2025 – May 25, 2026
Schedule: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Grade Levels: Kindergarten – 6th Grade

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic and engaging Cheer & Hip Hop Instructor to lead an after-school enrichment program for elementary students. The instructor will introduce students to basic cheerleading and hip hop dance techniques while promoting teamwork, confidence, creativity, and physical fitness in a fun and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead age-appropriate cheer and hip hop dance lessons for K–6 students
  • Teach basic choreography, rhythm, coordination, and movement skills
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere
  • Maintain student engagement and manage classroom behavior appropriately
  • Prepare simple routines that may be showcased at the end of the program
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators
  • Ensure student safety at all times

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or performing cheer, hip hop, or dance (youth experience preferred)
  • Ability to work with elementary-aged children
  • High energy, patience, and strong classroom management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Must be able to pass required background checks

Preferred Skills

  • Prior after-school or youth program instruction experience
  • Ability to adapt instruction for mixed age and skill levels
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
