Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time, working Supervisor to work alongside Highway Maintenance Technicians. They will perform maintenance operations in the Miami, Florida area. This position, requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.  The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring safety, productivity, and compliance.
Required Experience:
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Roadway and toll lane maintenance experience
  • Detailed industry knowledge of highway maintenance and/or the contsruction transportation field
  • Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years of roadway maintenance experience
  • MOT Certifications (traffic control)
  • CDL License a plus

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in the field as a supervisor.
  • Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Carry out simple arithmetic functions
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
  • Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
  • Ability to use smart phone and applications
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
  • Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:  Full time; typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-4:00PM. Must be flexible and work varying schedules.
