Job description

National Account Directors are accountable to manage, influence and negotiate with all market access customers to achieve access and price aligned to MTP.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to engage the customer and influence various aspects within organization
• Collaborate with external customers, AZ brand teams and other functions to develop and implementation of patient service programs. Examples; programs could be focused adherence, affordability, education or a combination
• Proficient utilization of data, scorecards and analytics tools to monitor performance and drive contract and service performance of Specialty Pharmacies
• Present, negotiate and execute performance contracts with various trade channels supporting the supply and access for AZ brands
• Present clinical information within company policy and product prescribing information supporting the utilization of AZ brands
• Partner with internal cross functional partners (Market Access, Sales, Operations, Brands) to appropriately achieve business objectives and resolve national account related issues
• Knowledge of payer environments including PBM and payer owned pharmacies
Competencies and job qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority

  • Strong oral, written, and group communication skills with internal and external customers including C-suite customers

  • Proficient in managing and analyze data to identify insights, opportunities for improvement and aid in problem solving

  • An in-depth knowledge of AZ contract offerings and their applications

  • A high level of knowledge of current reimbursement modalities, including AWP, WAC, ASP, and MAC pricing

  • An in-depth knowledge of the marketplace and applies that understanding to targeted national account segment/channel marketing, distribution strategy development and implementation to accomplish business objectives

  • Recognized as a resource to cross functional partners responsible for targeted national account segments/channels

  • Develop, implement, and execute Strategic Account Plans that deliver aligned business objectives

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced business or science degree desirable

  • High levels of understanding of the entire national account segment/channels including payor, trade distribution network, and specialty pharmacy providers

  • National Trade, Distribution, Retail, Payer, and Specialty Account management experience strongly desired

  • Sales, sales leadership, field reimbursement and regional account management experience

  • Ability to think conceptually, analytically, independently and strategically

  • Overnight travel is required

Desired:
  • Advanced business or science degree desirable

  • Managed Care/Market Access experience is strongly desired, specifically with Ascent/ESI downstreams including accounts UPMC, Highmark, Medical Mutual of Ohio and HCSC.

  • Oncology / respiratory biologics experience preferred

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $192,000 to $288,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
