Job description

THE ROLE
We are seeking dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Cooks to support our athlete driven high-performance dining operation within the Buffalo Bills Performance Center. As a Cook, you are responsible for producing all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner while following Legends' specifications, recipes and technique and maintaining sanitation standards. ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follows Executive Chef, Sous Chefs and/or Culinary Supervisors/Leads assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation.

  • Prepares food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures.

  • Maintains HACCP standards ensuring a high-quality level of food, food temperatures, rotation of product, cleanliness and sanitation standards.

  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen including walk-in coolers, dry storage, shelves, walls, floors and drains.

  • Ensures all food preparation equipment is clean, sanitized, and kept in a safe and operable condition; report issues to lead or supervisor.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

  • skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

  • ServSafe Allergens and Food Handler, preferred or ability to attain the required food safety certifications prior to working events.

  • Elevated time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills.

  • Ability to lift and transport food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays including all games and major stadium and catering events.

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training.

COMPENSATION
Competitive salary of $17-$19/hr. commensurate with experience.
