What are the typical challenges faced by a Registered Nurse in high-acuity settings such as intensive care units or emergency departments?

Registered Nurses working in high-acuity settings often encounter challenges such as managing multiple critically ill patients, responding quickly to rapidly changing situations, and maintaining clear communication with multidisciplinary teams under pressure. Additionally, RNs must stay updated with the latest protocols and technology while balancing emotional resilience to support both patients and their families.
