Company Description
Job Description
We're looking for the first Account Executive who will help build the Education vertical at Base44 - The AI platform that lets schools and universities build custom software using natural language. You'll be building the playbook from scratch in a high-growth, post-acquisition environment inside Wix.
This role is ideal for a seasoned seller who knows how to navigate the Education buying process, from budget cycles and RFPs to multi-stakeholder committees, and who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You'll play a foundational role in scaling our business, building trusted relationships with district and institutional leaders, and unlocking growth through a consultative, value-driven sales approach. You'll work closely with our founders and Wix leadership to define what success in Education looks like for Base44.
  • Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to closing new business within Mid-Market and Enterprise Education accounts (K-12 districts, higher ed institutions)
  • Navigate education-specific procurement processes, including RFPs/RFQs, purchasing cooperatives, and budget/fiscal-year cycles
  • Translate Base44's product vision into real-world conversations that resonate with technical and administrative stakeholders, including Superintendents, CIOs, CTOs, Provosts, and IT Directors
  • Build early revenue by identifying, engaging, and converting high-potential Education prospects
  • Shape the foundational sales motion for the Education segment, including messaging, outreach strategy, and account segmentation
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and leadership to align go-to-market efforts specific to Education
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers across district and institutional leadership
  • Accurately forecast deals, manage pipeline, and maintain CRM best practices
  • Act as a feedback loop between the Education market and the product team to influence roadmap and positioning

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of B2B closing experience, with a meaningful portion selling into Education (K-12 and/or Higher Ed)
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong understanding of Education procurement processes, budget cycles, and purchasing vehicles (RFP/RFQ, cooperative contracts, E-Rate familiarity a plus)
  • Experience with AI, ML, data platforms, or product-led SaaS is a strong plus
  • Experience with bottom-up sales motions, leveraging Individual Contributors (ICs) to expand adoption within an organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical, administrative audiences
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity in a high-growth environment
