Gastroenterologist – Duluth, MNPractice Type: Permanent, Clinical RoleReferral Bonus: Generous referral fees availableAvailability & Schedule
  • Work Schedule: Outpatient and inpatient consults; typical clinical hours
  • Call Requirements: Goal of 1:8 call schedule
  • ED/Inpatient Responsibilities: Managed by IM hospitalist service; inpatient GI consultative service supported by 11 advanced practice providers including weekends
  • Patient Volume / Procedures: Full spectrum of endoscopy procedures; opportunities to expand based on physician interest
Licenses & Certifications
  • Required: BC/BE in Gastroenterology
Practice Specifics
  • Join a growing GI section at a 357-bed tertiary referral center (opened July 2023)
  • State-of-the-art Digestive Health Center with:
    • 8 outpatient endoscopy suites
    • Motility lab
    • Two inpatient endoscopy rooms
  • Subspecialty opportunities (IBD, liver disease, esophageal diseases, etc.)
  • Current team: 4 general gastroenterologists, 1 GI hospitalist, 2 additional gastroenterologists joining 2026, plus a therapeutic endoscopist and support from casual physician
  • University of Minnesota Medical School affiliation with teaching, research, and outreach opportunities
  • Compensation: Guaranteed base salary with production incentives; no RVU-based model, no buy-ins
