Job description

At Wisper ISP, we're not just providing internet; we're linking communities and we're looking for a dynamic full-time Outside Sales Representative to be at the forefront of this mission. This is a full-time position with 40 work hours per week, which may include one weekend day and availability in the late afternoons/early evenings. You can expect up to 25% overnight travel, with lodging and per diem provided.

Salary: $31,500-$40,000/year + commission

Commission: $175 per successful installation after the first 3 weekly installs.

Performance Benchmark: 10 sales per week

On-Target Earnings (OTE): $65,100-$73,600, with top performers earning six figures plus -additional performance incentives and bonuses may apply - OTE figures based on current performance averages and achievable weekly install targets.

Essential job functions include:

  • Conduct door-to-door sales in assigned residential areas
  • Represent Wisper Internet at community events, pop-ups, and local gatherings
  • Educate prospects on internet service offerings and pricing
  • Assist customers with sign-ups and ensure accuracy of enrollment details
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor in all customer interactions
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
  • Other duties as required

Our Ideal Outside Sales Representative:

  • Computer literate with familiarity of in-home electronics, computers, & high-speed internet
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques & pipeline management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Must be well organized, detail-orientated & process driven
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Regular & predictable attendance
  • Ability to adjust hours to meet the needs of customers

Requirements include:

  • Experience in D2D sales, canvassing, or customer service is preferred
  • Reliable transportation and ability to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Must be comfortable speaking with customers in person
  • Must be dependable and eager to learn
  • Must be able to be added to Company Driving Insurance policy after 90 days
  • Self-motivated, with a "hunter" mentality and a passion for closing deals
  • Ability to work independently and outdoors year-round, drive safely, and build and maintain professional customer relationships
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs
