Understanding these distinctions can help job seekers find the right opportunities in school security.

What is the highest paying security guard job?

The highest paying security guard jobs typically involve specialized roles such as executive protection, armed security, or security management, often requiring advanced training, certifications, and experience. These positions can offer higher salaries, especially in high-risk environments or for those with specialized skills like firearms proficiency or threat assessment.

What does a security guard do at school?

A high school security guard monitors school premises to ensure safety by controlling access, patrolling hallways, and responding to emergencies. They enforce school policies, assist students and staff, and may use security equipment such as surveillance cameras and communication devices.

What is the youngest age to be a security guard?

The minimum age to become a high school security guard typically is 18 years old, as most states require security personnel to be adults with a valid license or certification.
