Company Overview
The Academy Charter School ("The Academy") offers an exceptional interdisciplinary curriculum in a technology rich environment that challenges students to explore connections across subjects and use experiential learning to bridge the gaps between theory and practice.
Job Summary
The Academy Charter School Security Guard Protects school property and insures safety of pupils and staff by providing adult supervision inside and outside of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Patrol hallways, main entrances and recreation areas and occasionally provides supervision as needed
  • Provide supervision for bus areas during arrival and dismissal times
  • Check perimeter to ensure no unauthorized access into school is available to outsiders, doors are locked and to become aware of any potentially harmful activity occurring
  • Check the functioning of security system
  • Check first floor restrooms
  • Provide direction to visitors at main entrance- check to see that visitors have signed
  • Control building access and respond to alarms
  • Alert Administrators of problems arising from congestion or other sources
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of all students during admission and dismissal
  • Interact with students, parents and colleagues in a professional, positive and inspiring manner
  • Other tasks as assigned
Pay Transparency: The hourly range for this role is $18.00/hr.- $ 21.50/hr. Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
