The Difference You Make:
The Senior High Risk Analyst is responsible for conducting annual and ongoing reviews of high-risk Private Banking clients to ensure compliance with BSA/AML policies and regulatory requirements. This role performs detailed analysis of customer activity, ownership structures, account behavior, and supporting documentation to identify potential risks and validate that customer activity aligns with expected profiles.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. This position partners closely with Relationship Managers and Compliance teams to obtain required documentation, complete client reviews, and support risk mitigation efforts for a predominantly Latin America-focused client base.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct annual reviews of high-risk Private Banking clients in accordance with BSA/AML policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review customer profiles, account activity, transaction patterns, ownership structures, and supporting documentation to identify and assess risk.
  • Analyze client activity and investigate variances or unusual behavior to determine whether activity is consistent with the customer's expected profile.
  • Perform detailed research across multiple systems to validate customer information prior to requesting documentation.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders to collect and review required documentation.
  • Document findings, recommendations, and review outcomes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support special projects involving client data analysis, risk reviews, and compliance initiatives.
  • Manage a high-volume workload while ensuring reviews are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Stay current on BSA/AML requirements, industry trends, and emerging financial crime risks.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Compliance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Required

Professional Experience:
  • 3+ years of BSA/AML, KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Compliance, Risk Management, or Financial Crimes experience.
  • Experience supporting Private Banking, Wealth Management, or high-net-worth client segments.
  • Strong understanding of BSA/AML regulations and high-risk customer review processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business and compliance teams.
  • Experience supporting Latin America-focused client portfolios preferred.

Language:
  • Fluent Spanish (required).

Certifications:
  • ACAMS certification preferred.
  • FIBA certification preferred.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
