Description

Job Summary:

The essential duties are to perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures cleanliness of designated area within site.
  • Sweep and mop all floors and vacuum carpets and dust all surfaces.
  • Empty all trash receptacles and biohazard containers.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, refill tissue, paper towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, etc.
  • Clean and disinfect all countertops, exterior of appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, etc.) and furniture.
  • Clean glass on entrances and exits and all interior glass as needed.
  • Clean all stainless (bathrooms, kick plates, sinks, water fountains, door hardware
  • Sweep all entrance and exit areas (porches, sidewalks)
  • Ensure MSDS sheets are current for all chemicals. Adhere to all applicable Environment of Care Standards. Report any quality or safety related matters to immediate supervisor
  • Monthly: Assist in preparation to buff all VCT floors.
  • Semi-Annual: Strip and wax (scrub and re-coat as needed) VCT floors with 4 coats of high solids wax; Clean all window interior and exterior (entire building).
  • Annual: Strip and wax (scrub and re-coast as needed VCT floors with wax; clean all windows.
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings and participate in webinars and/or seminars as appropriate.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY: Must have ability to apply common understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Louisiana Driver's


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee will work with cleaning general cleaning solutions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
