JOB SUMMARY: 
This position provides cleaning services to Schuman Cleaning Service clients in accordance with client and Company specifications. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Perform various cleaning activities including, but not limited to: cleaning bathroom fixtures, showers and tubs, washing floors, cleaning kitchens, vacuuming carpets, dusting, polishing furniture, etc. 
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with specifications outlines in the company’s Safety Program Handbook. 
  • Perform all duties timely and efficiently in accordance job specifications and Supervisor instructions. 
  • Report to Schuman’s headquarters at the assigned time. 
  • Wear appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment in accordance with job guidelines. 
  • Move furniture and other items as needed in order to clean appropriately. 
  • Work safely around pets, using appropriate pet friendly cleaning products and cleaning methods.
  • Special care should be taken so that pets are prevented from leaving the home. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide outstanding customer service while representing the company, as well as work well as a team demonstrating a positive image of Schuman’s Cleaning Service. 
  • Leave worksite in accordance with exit procedures provided including, but not limited to: secure premises, locking doors and window, activating alarm system, etc. 
  • Maintain all equipment in good working condition and return it to proper location after using. 
  • Report all accidents, injuries, security violations, maintenance issues (i.e. leaking faucets, running toilets) as well as all broken or improperly functioning equipment to Supervisor and/or Team Lead immediately. 
  • Learn specific cleaning techniques of the Company in order to clean more efficiently in accordance with Company specifications and requirements. 
  • Attend and actively participate in all Company required meetings. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in other divisions as needed. 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct or indirect reports. 
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES: 
Skills and Abilities 
  • High level of attention to detail in achieving the cleaning standards of Schuman’s Cleaning Service.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, engaging and pleasant demeanor.
  • Must be able to work in safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to perform specific cleaning duties in accordance with specified techniques and instructions.
  • Must be able to safely and effectively use specified cleaning equipment and all appropriate personal protective equipment. 
Education and Experience: 
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. 
Physical Demands, Work Conditions and Environment: 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. 
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements. 
  • Working at different worksites daily and occasionally several worksites throughout the same day. 
  • Non office type work environment which may expose employee to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals and other elements which are continuously present. 
  • Standing and moving for 8 plus hours a day. 
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders and other activities requiring full range of motion. 
  • Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, dusts, fumes, various sprays and mists, etc. 
Eligibility Requirements: 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older. 
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation, including but not limited to: Driving Record, Criminal Background, Reference Check, Credit Check, etc. 
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug and alcohol screening. 
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
