Chemours is seeking a Finance Director to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supporting the Advanced Performance Materials (APM) business. This hybrid position will be available at the corporate headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, and report directly to the Vice President FP&A.

The Finance Director will oversee Finance activities for the APM business unit, acting as the Segment Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance team and partnering with the APM President and leadership team to drive financial performance and support the business strategy. The role demands a deep understanding of financial principles, strong business acumen, collaborative business partnering, and authentic leadership skills.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and supervise the financial planning and analysis functions, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Serve as a key member of the APM global business leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and organizational development.
  • Oversee the preparation of all segment financial reporting and forecasting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Guide key investment decisions, manage capital requests, and strategize regarding capital allocation.
  • Evaluate and optimize financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends.
  • Mentor and develop a high-caliber finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop cost-effective business solutions and enhance profitability.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes, industry developments, and macroeconomic trends that may affect the business.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field;
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in financial management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Extensive experience with financial systems, databases, and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build, guide, and inspire a team of finance professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of negotiating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and driving business results.

The following is preferred for this role:

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced certifications highly desirable.
