Job Summary
Are you passionate about interior design and helping homeowners turn their visions into reality? Old Dominion Floor Co. is seeking an Inside Sales Consultant for our premier Design Center in Midlothian.

For over 37 years, we have been Richmond’s leading flooring experts. In this role, you aren’t just selling "products"—you are guiding clients through the creative process of selecting the perfect hardwood, tile, and carpet for their homes. Whether you are a seasoned flooring pro or have an eye for design and a willingness to learn, we provide a family-oriented environment where your expertise is valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Consultation: Assist customers in our Design Center, helping them navigate product features, styles, and color coordination.
  • Blueprint Integration: Review and interpret blueprints to provide accurate product recommendations and project scopes for new builds and renovations.
  • Full-Cycle Sales: Manage the sales process from the initial greeting to the final selection, ensuring all customer inquiries are resolved with excellence.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate closely with our Outside Sales team and Project Coordinators to ensure a seamless transition from the showroom to the job site.
  • Administrative Excellence: Utilize Microsoft Outlook and our internal systems to manage a busy appointment schedule and track sales targets.

Technical Skills: Understanding the Product Success in this role requires learning the technical differences between materials to better advise our clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Background in sales, customer service, or high-end retail. Experience in the construction or flooring industry is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to read/interpret Blueprints.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Natural ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with a medium-sized team of 60+ professionals.
