JOB TITLE: Route Driver
EMPLOYER: Hi-Line Refreshment Services, Show Low AZ
DEPARTMENT: Delivery & Sales
REPORTS TO: VBranch Manager
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon Hire
POSITION: Full-Time, Hourly, starting pay $21/hr
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing Hi-Line Refreshment customers with a wide variety of high-quality coffee, snacks, food and beverage products for micro-markets, vending machines and pantries at businesses and institutions across Northern Arizona. Route Drivers handle product replenishment and inventory management with state-of-the-art technology while providing best in class customer service. This position accepts DOT and non-DOT applicants.
SCHEDULE:

  • This job is Monday-Friday, 6am - until work is completed. Weekends as needed (for emergencies).
  • Flexible to accommodate an 8-10 hr workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operates company vehicle with safety in mind and follows all laws of the state of Arizona
  • Acquires and maintains a necessary DOT required certification (Medical Card) required to operate vehicle and possess a valid AZ Driver's License.
  • Communicates any issues or concerns during the day, along with any service issues to Hi-Line management.
  • Follows all company policies and directions by Hi-Line management.
  • Must be able to lift product weighing as much as 55 bs repeatedly during an 8-10-hour work period.
  • Hours of Operations are Monday-Friday. Start time is 6am until all tasks are completed.
  • Reviews and completes an efficient delivery route for the day.
  • Loads delivery vehicle with product scheduled for delivery.
  • Delivers product to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Picks up product along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
  • Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintains temperature logs; adheres to food safety requirements and cleanliness standards
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school education or equivalent (GED); or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Medical card.
  • Computer skills: Order Processing Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
  • Other skills required:
    • Ability to drive safely.
    • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to execute delivery routes.
    • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
    • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
