Position Overview

Helpline Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our compassionate team. This full-time remote position offers an exceptional opportunity for professionals to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health challenges. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of mental health conditions.

About the Organization

Helpline Counseling Center is a trusted community health clinic located in San Antonio, Texas, committed to improving the mental well-being of residents through accessible and high-quality counseling services. Our center is focused on providing support in a welcoming and inclusive environment, where individuals from diverse backgrounds can find the help they need. Our mission is to empower clients on their journey of mental health recovery and resilience.

Work Environment

This position allows you to work remotely, providing you with the flexibility to manage your schedule while focusing on delivering exceptional care to your clients. At Helpline Counseling Center, we believe in supporting our team members by handling administrative responsibilities such as billing and paperwork, so you can devote your time and energy to your clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, ensuring comprehensive care for each individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients' mental health and emotional well-being, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies tailored to meet each client's specific needs and goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.
  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, families, and groups, creating a safe and supportive environment to foster open communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the community health clinic to provide holistic care and address complex patient needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing challenges related to substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Your expertise will be invaluable for clients from various backgrounds, where cultural competence and sensitivity are vital in delivering effective care. The role emphasizes the importance of understanding unique client experiences and developing trust-based therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, with demonstrated competence in working in diverse therapeutic settings.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization or additional training in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatments is highly preferred.
  • Experience using virtual therapy platforms and tools to connect and engage with clients effectively in a remote setting.
Compensation and Benefits

Helpline Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills. We provide access to unlimited client referrals, allowing you to focus on making an impact rather than worrying about obtaining clients. Our organization supports a healthy work-life balance with a flexible schedule and provides paid time off (PTO) for holidays to encourage rejuvenation and personal time.

Career Growth Opportunities

As a valued member of our team, you will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and training programs, aimed at enhancing your skills and advancing your career. Our commitment to employee growth ensures that you are continually supported in your quest for professional excellence within the counseling field.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Helpline Counseling Center, you will be part of a dedicated team that prioritizes the well-being of our clients and the professional satisfaction of our counselors. You will engage with a supportive community, have meaningful opportunities to make a difference, and work within a framework that values holistic and innovative approaches to mental health care. With our focus on collaboration and a client-centered philosophy, you will play an essential role in shaping the future of mental health services in San Antonio and beyond.

Application Information
