Cookie General Bakeshop Helper
Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:35 PM - 6:40 AM Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $28.42/hour + $0.25 Shift Differential
HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...
As a General Bakeshop Helper, you will support the production of high-quality products by performing a variety of assignments throughout the Biscuit Processing area. Your flexibility, attention to safety and quality, and willingness to learn multiple functions will help ensure efficient operations, continuous improvement, and successful production results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO...
  • Perform a variety of production assignments within the Biscuit Processing department, including Scaling, Mixing, Utility, Depositing, Ovens, Chocolate Room/Robots, and Relief coverage.
  • Rotate through multiple positions and responsibilities within the Processing GBH classification.
  • Perform sanitation and housekeeping duties to maintain food safety and plant cleanliness standards.
  • Operate lift trucks and powered pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Provide relief coverage for Processing Machine Operators as needed.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and Operator Asset Care (OAC) activities, including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment.
  • Support Operator-Driven Reliability (ODR) initiatives.
  • Follow all safety, quality, food safety, and GMP requirements.
  • Utilize SAP and support 5S initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in team-based initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn and perform multiple production functions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment care activities.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate lift trucks and powered pallet jacks.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to participate in sanitation, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Previous manufacturing or food production experience.
  • Experience operating production equipment.
  • Forklift and/or powered industrial truck experience.
  • Experience with SAP, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, Operator Asset Care (OAC), or Operator-Driven Reliability (ODR) programs.
  • Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the job.
  • Ability to safely operate production equipment, lift trucks, and powered pallet jacks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Food manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment, varying temperatures, noise, and moving machinery.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to work overtime and adjusted schedules based on production needs.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
