Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Join Barclays as a US Tax Documentation Manager, where you will have the chance to ensure accurate and timely validation of client tax documentation. In this role, you will actively monitor changes in client circumstances and manage the renewal process. This position supports Barclays' compliance with evolving US IRS tax regulations, helping the firm stay aligned with current requirements. You will help mitigate operational and regulatory risks, contributing to the overall integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of the bank's tax reporting and client onboarding processes.

To be successful as a US Tax Documentation Manager, you should have:

  • Basic understanding of US IRS Ch3, 61 tax regime, familiarity with W8/ W9 tax form validation
  • Ability to interpret client tax documentation, withholding, reporting issues, identify risks and able to problem-solve
  • Good communication skills, and stakeholder management with both internal and external client

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Technical skills in analyzing large data sets
  • Ability to produce metrics and analyze trends, identify potential issues, and risk exposure
  • Experience in system/ technology/ regulation rollout types of projects as a SME role

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in Whippany, NJ.

Minimum Salary: $70,000

Maximum Salary: $140,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
