Job Title: Helper

Location: Peabody, MA

Job Type: Full-time

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Helper for safe and efficient packing, loading, unloading, and transportation of household or commercial items during relocations. Responsibilities include carrying furniture and boxes, wrapping and protecting items to prevent damage, assembling and disassembling furniture, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Helpers work closely with drivers and crew leaders to complete moves on schedule while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and able to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced team environment. Previous moving or labor experience is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload furniture, boxes, and household or office items safely and efficiently
  • Pack, wrap, and protect customer belongings to prevent damage during transport
  • Assist with disassembling and reassembling furniture as needed
  • Carry items up and down stairs, ramps, and through tight spaces safely
  • Follow directions from drivers and crew leaders during moves
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving trucks and work areas
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
  • Use moving equipment such as dollies, straps, blankets, and hand tools properly
  • Complete moves efficiently while following company safety procedures
  • Assist with warehouse or storage tasks when needed
