Job description

Production Shipper/Packer

GardaWorld Federal Services, a premier provider of tailored solutions to federal government entities across the nation, is currently expanding its team. GardaWorld Federal delivers best-in-class logistics, medical, security, and support services to Federal, State, and local customers, as well as commercial clients both domestically and abroad. In any environment, we help our customers achieve the impossible.

We are seeking a diligent and committed Production Shipper/Packer to join our Veterans Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (VA CMOP) team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and secure delivery of medical prescriptions to our esteemed military veterans.

Some of your duties may include:

  • Accurate scanning of prescription barcodes.
  • Ensuring prescriptions are placed into appropriately sized mailing containers.
  • Inserting patient refill documentation and return address labels into packages.
  • Utilizing packing materials to safeguard contents against damage or spillage.
  • Securely sealing containers for shipment.
  • Affixing address labels and forwarding completed orders for dispatch.
  • Stock management and maintaining an orderly work environment.

Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of relevant work experience; prior roles in packing, production, stocking, assembly, cashiering, or similar fields.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency.
  • Minimum age of 18 years with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must be able to pass preemployment and random drug screen this includes THC/Marijuana

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
