Job Description

The Production Helper supports daily manufacturing operations by assembling components, packing materials, and performing general production tasks in a clean facility in York, PA. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow work directions accurately, and the physical capability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure you pack, count, and report pieces according to established procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components accurately and efficiently according to provided instructions and training.
  • Perform packing of smaller materials and longer pieces, ensuring items are securely and correctly packaged.
  • Work with a partner to pack items that are too heavy or long for one person to handle safely.
  • Count and verify quantities of pieces and materials before packing to maintain accurate inventory and order fulfillment.
  • Report piece counts and packing information clearly and accurately as directed.
  • Follow all work directions, production procedures, and quality standards consistently.
  • Operate general production equipment and tools safely as required for daily tasks.
  • Assist with loading materials and finished goods as needed to support production flow.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Support general labor tasks on the production floor, including basic housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform order picking and staging of materials or finished products as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of required personal protective equipment and safe lifting techniques.
  • Carry out other production-related duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of packing experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read and understand work directions and production instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail when assembling, counting, and packing materials.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time during the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed in the course of daily duties.
  • Experience with general production and packaging tasks.

  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.

The dress code requires jeans or work pants (no sweatpants) and steel-toed shoes for safety. You will work around general production equipment, packaging stations, and material handling tools such as pallet jacks, while following safety procedures and guidelines throughout the shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.33 - $17.33/hr.
