About the Family

A warm, welcoming, and private family is seeking an experienced Nanny/House Manager to become an integral part of their home. They currently have a sweet one-year-old daughter and are excited to welcome their second child in December.

The family spends approximately eight months of the year (September through April) in Indianapolis and the summer months in Orlando, so candidates must be excited about a dual-residence lifestyle and willing to travel between both homes. Private housing is provided in both locations, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys travel and experiencing two wonderful cities throughout the year.

This is not a traditional full-charge nanny position. Mom is very hands-on and home the majority of the time. Instead, they're looking for someone who enjoys working alongside a parent while taking ownership of the household so everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

The role is primarily focused on house management and family assistant responsibilities (approximately 80%), with the remaining 20% involving childcare support. As the family grows, the ideal candidate will be comfortable transitioning between helping with household tasks and jumping in with both a toddler and newborn whenever needed.

The family values kindness, discretion, organization, and a calm presence in their home. They are looking for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done, enjoys creating organized systems, and genuinely loves supporting busy families.

An NDA and strict no-social-media policy while working in the home are required.

ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management
  • Keep the home organized, tidy, and running efficiently
  • Create and maintain organizational systems throughout the home
  • Manage laundry, linens, and clothing organization
  • Unpack, organize, and help maintain both residences during seasonal moves
  • Organize toys, nursery spaces, and children's belongings
  • Sanitize play areas and maintain child-related spaces
  • Assist with household projects and daily family needs
  • Anticipate needs and proactively keep the household running smoothly
Childcare Support
  • Assist Mom with the family's toddler and, beginning in December, their newborn
  • Step in while Mom attends appointments or runs errands
  • Engage the children through reading, outdoor activities, developmental play, and age-appropriate learning
  • Help maintain routines and provide an extra set of loving, capable hands throughout the day
  • Travel domestically and internationally with the family as needed
Schedule Expectations

The typical schedule will be five days per week from 9:00 AM5:00 PM, though flexibility is important.

Some weeks may require Monday through Friday coverage, while others may include weekend days depending on the family's travel schedule and seasonal needs. Schedules will generally be provided at least one month in advance, and the overall rhythm of the year is expected to remain consistent.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience as a Nanny, Family Assistant, House Manager, or Mother's Helper
  • Loves supporting busy families and thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Naturally organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Takes ownership of household management responsibilities
  • Comfortable caring for both toddlers and newborns
  • Enjoys working alongside an involved parent while knowing when to step in independently
  • Calm, warm, patient, and highly discreet
  • Flexible, travel-ready, and interested in a long-term position
  • Bilingual in English and French or English and Spanish is highly preferred, but not required
  • Comfortable signing an NDA and respecting a highly private household
