2nd shift
Pay $18.00-$20.00 plus $0.75 per hour shift diferential
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Grinding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating grinding equipment, bagging finished materials, monitoring product quality, and ensuring production goals are met safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, forklift operation experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This position also supports production documentation, inventory data entry, equipment maintenance, and cross-training opportunities throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Production
  • Operate grinding equipment, bagging systems, and dust collection equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Perform daily visual inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery and work areas.
  • Review production orders and set up equipment for daily operations.
  • Operate bagging equipment to fill and label bags according to production requirements.
  • Load materials into grinders and monitor production flow.
  • Inspect materials for contamination and maintain product quality standards.
  • Move finished products to designated warehouse locations.
  • Record production information and complete data entry accurately.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of grinding equipment and surrounding areas after production runs.

Quality & Safety
  • Follow all quality procedures and standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Continuously inspect products to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly.

Material Handling
  • Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
  • Utilize pneumatic tools and other production equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Prevent contamination during color changes and production transitions.
  • Participate in cross-training and support other departments as needed.
  • Attend production, safety, and company meetings as required.

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent manufacturing/machine operator experience.
  • Minimum 6 months of forklift experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and understand units of measure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience.
  • ERP system experience.
