What You'll Do
As a Machine Operator, you'll help ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards by operating and supporting machining equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate specialized Flame Cell equipment and support machining operations to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
  • Review job orders, routing sheets, blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine proper machining procedures.
  • Assist with setting up and operating drill presses, engine lathes, CNC equipment, and other machining tools.
  • Perform machining operations including drilling, boring, threading, grooving, reaming, facing, and related tasks.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to speeds, feeds, and cutting depths.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify specifications and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate first-article inspections and ensure all products meet established standards before production continues.
  • Report maintenance or equipment concerns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain calibrated tools and follow all quality system procedures.
  • Cross-train in additional machine operations and manufacturing functions to support team success.
  • Communicate production status and potential issues to supervisors to help maximize efficiency and output.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and workplace procedures.
