Job Summary

The General Laborer is responsible for general assistance in and around the production areas. The General Laborer assists in the set-up and preparations necessary in order to start up and maintain the running of production equipment. You'll be cross-trained in different departments to help increase efficiency to help in all areas of production.

Shifts available: M-F, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm OR 7:00 pm to 7:00 am OT as needed/weekends

Essential Functions:

  • Locate and transport raw materials to the production machines
  • Load raw materials into machines
  • Collect and properly dispose of all scrap from the machines
  • Train to be a machine operator
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate basic material handling equipment
  • Must be flexible as work orders and pace can change day-to-day
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Possesses basic problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
  • Bilingual Spanish is a Plus
