THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN  PLEASANT GROVE, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Aftermarket Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling hose and couplings and stocking at customer locations, performing inspections and measurements on undercarriage and GET on construction equipment for the product support sales team to ensure we are responding to our customers needs. The goal of this position is to increase parts sales through coverage and inspections and provide timely and accurate quotes to the product support sales team to help our customers in making the best decision to keep their machines operating.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform undercarriage and GET inspections on construction equipment
  • Requires climbing on machines ranging in size of small to large equipment
  • Requires crawling under tractor to inspect tracks and ground engaging tools
  • Requires drive time from 30 to 4 hours at a time to visit customer
  • Sell aftermarket Hose and Couplings and visit customer sites to stock parts
  • Schedule undercarriage and GET inspections with customers
  • Requires sitting at a desk for multiple hours making calls to customers to schedule inspections or visiting for aftermarket sales
  •  Prepare quotes with recommendations for repairs or replacement on undercarriage or GET inspections performed.
  • Requires sitting at a desk for period of time to quote.
  • Communicate with product support sales team on customer inspections and measurements for undercarriage and GET inspections with customers
  • Some driving will be required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Possess general knowledge of machine undercarriage and ground engaging tools.
  • High level of organizational skills; excellent attention to detail; the ability to work closely and intensely with the top management as well as with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), creativity, resourcefulness, and an internal/external customer service orientation are essential in order to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as with outside clients.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general information.
  • Ability to write business correspondence, memos, and other material.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to work with little direction and supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, time management, and be detailed orientated.
  • Must be proactive and confident with a willingness to offer input and to contribute and defend ideas.
  • A high level of proficiency required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required to perform the varied duties of this position.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV report.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb, squat, stand, walk on or around construction equipment. This position requires regular use of hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, controls and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is also regularly required to talk and hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range $32 to $36 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
