Job description

Machine Operator - Metal Fabrication

Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our dynamic metal fabrication department in our manufacturing facility. You will be tasked with operating a variety of metal fabrication machinery including CNC press brake, CNC turret press, CNC shear, and CNC punch press. Your daily duties include bending, shaping, punching, and cutting metal to specifications, as well as reading blueprints and a tape measure. You will be responsible for loading and unloading your machine by hand. You will be working independently on the machine, so a high level of responsibility and ownership is required.

Job Overview:

  • Job title: Machine Operator
  • Pay: $17.50-22.00/hr (based on shift/skills)
  • Shift Options: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available
  • Manufacturing environment (non-climate controlled)
  • Location: Jacksonville, FL (northside)

Qualifications:

  • Machine operation experience is required
  • Ability to read tape measure is required
  • Proficiency using computers
  • Experience operating CNC machinery is preferred
  • Experience working with metal fabrication machinery is a plus
  • Lifting consistently up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments
