Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Preparation and Operation of Tools and Equipment:

  • Set up and prepare tools and equipment for production and assembly line use.
  • Ensure that all necessary materials and components are available and in proper quantities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues with tools and equipment before operation.
  • Operates equipment that cuts wood and wood products to specified lengths.

Equipment Monitoring:

  • Operate machinery to support product and material flow along the production line.
  • Monitor equipment functionality, looking out for jams, glitches, or irregularities.
  • Address minor jams and disruptions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Report any larger equipment issues or malfunctions to the technical maintenance team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth production flow.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following company safety standards.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately

  • Lift and carry 77lbs at least 33% of their work shift.
  • Push items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.

Machine Operator

POSITION PURPOSE

  • The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery essential to pallet repair and assembly line production.
  • This position will also be responsible for preparing tools and equipment for production and assembly line use, ensuring seamless operations, and maintaining a high level of efficiency.
  • The Machine Operator will monitor equipment functionality, identify, and address minor jams, and report larger issues to the preventative maintenance team.
  • The primary goal is to operate machinery safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the production process.
