Job Description

Essential Job Duties
Product Strategy and Roadmap Development
- Develop next generation software product roadmap across multiple product franchises in
the Ion business units
- Develop a deep knowledge of relevant clinical spaces, including monitoring and
consuming clinical literature, attending medical society meetings and engaging with
physician key opinion leaders
Market Landscape and Voice of Customer
- Understand competitive, emerging, and complementary technology, and its impact on
Intuitive’s endoluminal product lines
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research. Execute customer interviews
(patients, HCPs & their care team, providers and payers) and observations to develop
insights and inform the product roadmap
Marketing Claims:
- Develop customer segmentation and marketing claims strategy for next generation
product franchises
- Drive cross-functional alignment on pre and post-launch product roadmap and data
collection in pre-clinical and clinical settings
Product Feature Development and Prioritization
- Partner with product franchise leads to develop and prioritize software product
investigations, features, and product requirements for next generation software
- Partner with UX and Clinical to prototype and assess prototype product solutions.
- Evaluate critical program requirements and potential product impact
End-to-End Ownership of Software Features
- Own and scope the end-to-end software experience for users across next generation
product franchises and global geographies to ensure a unified, consistent, and
streamlined user experience

Drive desirability, feasibility, and viability assessments of next generation software
product features to prioritize next generation product portfolio
Business Analysis
- Collect, organize, and leverage datasets to build business cases and drive business
decisions for next generation software product lines
- Identify high-leverage software innovations by customer desirability, business viability,
and longer-term NPV methodologies
New Technologies and Global Launches
- Partner with engineering and business development teams to assess new technologies,
potential partnerships, and prioritize the new business development software pipeline
- Collaborate with regional teams to ensure that product features and NextGen portfolio
align with user needs across geographies

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects, stakeholders, and teams; effectively resolves
issues that impact multiple teams and departments, involving complex strategies and
priorities.
• Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives from concept through to completion.
• Able to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks, product lines, and product
features
• Relationship builder with proven ability to work across disparate parts of an organization
to deliver results.
• Can operate and drive results and set priorities with limited supervision.
• Influences critical project trade-offs with clear communication, customer insight, and data
• Self-starter with ability to take leadership in a fast-paced environment, with agility to pivot
focus to meet evolving customer needs and shifting market dynamics.
• Effectively communicates impact of critical requirements on commercial success and
across organizational stakeholders

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to
senior management and customers.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare, hospital operations, and finance
• Ability to work in surgical labs and hospital patient care areas is required
• Ability to travel up to 30%
Required Education and Training
• A Bachelors (BS/BSE) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related
technical field strongly preferred
• 5 or more years of professional experience with at least 2 years of experience in medical
device product management, program management, project management, product
marketing, or a similar discipline
• Product launch experience
• Relevant experience in medical devices and/or engineering/technical organizations
Working Conditions
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Masters degree in life science, engineering, or business discipline preferred
• Experience leading development of multiple software product lines as the single-point-of-
contact in a regulated environment
• Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: medical software, capital
equipment, medical devices, digital health, robotics, regulated product development

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target base compensation ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1:$176,300 - $253,700
Base Salary Range Region 2: $149,900 - $215,600
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
