Job description

Delivery Associates are an integral part of our Logistics team. Alongside other associates they load/unload and carry products from delivery vehicles, storage, within the yard, etc. Deliveries may be made to residential homes, commercial buildings, etc. They may carry by hand, use a mechanical cart or forklift as necessary. Position may require other yard work and laborer type activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in compliance with laws and regulations, attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents, and take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Inspect and load various products.
  • Lift and manage heavy loads, repetitive in nature.
  • Handle carrying drywall with the up most of care, without damaging or dropping it.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and stretching to prevent injury due to repetitive lifting.
  • Assesses delivery sites for potential hazards.
  • Work alongside driver/boom truck drivers or other carriers in a two-person lift, maximum 160 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under strict time-lines.
