The position also serves as the long-term owner of the HRIS, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and effective integration with other business systems. After implementation, the role focuses on optimizing HR processes, enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities, and driving continuous improvements to HR technology and workflows. It acts as a key partner to HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to ensure the HRIS supports both operational efficiency and strategic workforce decision-making.

The Senior HRIS Analyst will report to the Director of Human Resources and is based hybrid in our Santa Clara, CA office or remote U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new HRIS platform, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, system design, testing, data migration, and successful go-live execution
  • Manage full HRIS implementation project lifecycle, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and change management planning
  • Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to ensure the HRIS aligns with organizational needs and long-term people strategy
  • Oversee system administration post-implementation, including user access management, security roles, and ongoing system configuration
  • Ensure ongoing HRIS data integrity through audits, governance standards, and data quality controls across all HR modules
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize HR reporting and analytics, including dashboards, standard reports, and ad hoc leadership requests
  • Continuously improve HR processes by identifying automation opportunities, configuring workflows, and enhancing system functionality
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation to HR teams, managers, and employees to ensure effective system adoption
  • Manage integrations between HRIS and other company systems (e.g., ATS, finance, benefits) and coordinate vendor relationships and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security standards, and audit requirements while supporting internal and external audit requests

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, HR Technology, or related systems-focused HR role
  • Experience leading at least one full HRIS implementation or major system migration
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes including payroll, benefits, talent management, onboarding, and employee lifecycle workflows
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, Oracle HCM, SAP, Rippling, or similar)
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and competing priorities
  • Proficiency in HR reporting, data analysis, and dashboard tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or system-native reporting tools)
  • Understanding of HR data governance, compliance requirements (e.g., CCPA, GDPR), and security best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical system details into business-friendly language
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $160,000 per year. Actual compensation offered will be determined based by factors as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
